The Kentucky Malt and Beverage Council consists of distributors from privately-owned companies. Our distributors work together to serve and advocate for beverage producers and retailers in Kentucky, ensuring that resources make their way to every branch of the industry.
KYMBC’s service to Kentucky’s beverage industry is far-reaching. We provide alcohol and beverage producers with assistance in marketing and logistics management. We create and navigate a large network that connects small businesses with partners they would not encounter otherwise. This, in turn, ensures a diverse, competitive market for consumers. Shoppers encounter products from big brand names as well as smaller, local producers. Retailers benefit from training in the prevention of alcohol sales to underage individuals.
Besides distributing resources and services to each tier of Kentucky’s Three Tier System, KYMBC also collects state excise and wholesale taxes from the sale of beverages and remits that money to the revenue cabinet.
